Any Day Now
I've been having a lot of pre-labor signs and a few "false alarms" over the past week. I actually warned my doula twice and I've never done that before. Last two babies I just called her when labor was underway. My doctor visit this morning had these results:
- 80% effaced (wow!)
- Bulging bag of waters (um, ya, he's way down there!)
- Lost a pound
- 1 1/2 cm dilated
- Doc says, "OH, you're on thin ice. I don't think you'll make it to your appointment next week, so drink lots of water, and get some sleep! Make sure your husband is on board and ready (he knew Mike was in denial about it being soon) and call me. It might be the next couple of days. The baby's position is perfect and ready to go and he is very low. Now what are we doing for birth control?" Ha ha. I love doctor Langford!
Gavin Edward Baker is coming any day now =)

Natural Born?
In a Seattle Washington college classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple - the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.
However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president. The class was taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating,
'What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?'
Yep, these are the 18 year olds that just voted for the President of the United States...
